Hey guys! I’m Jen, welcome to my practice. I received my undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 2019. After graduating, I served on active duty Air Force for just over 4 years before deciding to pursue a career in mental health. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Before graduating, I interned for three different practices between Concord and Mooresville. I have been seeing clients in one-on-one therapy for just over a year.

I provide an empathetic and non-judgmental environment, facilitating vulnerability and growth. I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy to help clients recognize and understand emotions and experiences, recognize their strengths, and commit to change and growth. I believe that we each are the experts of our own lives and as the counselor, I am here to help you understand and navigate your own path. I believe education is a powerful tool in the counseling setting, and knowledge about ourselves and our surroundings helps us grow and develop as humans.

I know that counseling is an emotionally and psychologically intimate atmosphere where healing and wholeness happens. You may be here for a multitude of reasons, but regardless of the reason for entering counseling I believe that with time, vulnerability, and awareness, we can work towards improvement together. I believe the counseling process is one of self-discovery, and I strive to create a supportive and safe environment for clients to work through their concerns. Further, I believe in taking a holistic approach to wellness; addressing mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and vocational issues as core pieces of the client's life. I emphasize the counselor and client collaborating to make reasonable and specific goals, creating clear and specific treatment plans and empowering clients to make needed changes.
